How to convert images
in Windows Paint
If you work with
images, you most have either gotten a software or use an online software to
change image formats, or you most have known how to use what i am about to tell
you. Working with pain could be very easy because you do not need any download,
meaning even those without internet connections can still have their images converted
to other formats using Windows Paint. With Windows pain, you can change several
formats to what really desires you.
We are going to be
taking a step by step procedure, and by the end of this article you should be
able to convert images no matter where you find your self. Another advantage
using Windows pain is that; you don't have to install any software either for
or to support paint for any of its works. The only problem with Paint is that,
you cannot remove or perform too many manipulations on an image.
First before we move,
get set your images. Note that Paint is not purposely an image converter, but
has that functionality in it.
Get prepared and let
me know.
All right we are
starting right away.
Right click and image
and choose open with. From the site menu choose Paint to open with.
If you have to do any
changes to the image then do them before converting them. Make sure the
converted image should be edited on its on if you have to anyway. What i mean
is, if you had to remove or add something to the image, and you decide to make
the changes first then do them before converting the image. If you decide to
convert the image before making any changes then fine still, but you have to
close the current image running in paint and reopen the converted image so as
to be sure of editing the right image.
On the File drop down
from the paints menu bar, click Save As. In the dialog box that opens, scroll
down the "Save as Type" option and choose the available formats. You
should find at least one of the most commonly used types. Type in the file name,
choose location to save and click save, you are done. There is something you
need to know about saving without choosing a file format to save with. All
images edited in Paint are automatically saved as bitmap
(."bmp:"did), and cant be used in most cases. For example most social
web sites do not accept images saved in that bitmap formats. It’s not a big
deal right? You still might not know that your image is converted already, till
you have to click and check the image directly where its being saved. Converting
in Paint isn’t a big deal, but very simple and could be really useful for those
who have no time to download software.
Some of the formats
that could be found in Paint converter are.
JPG, JPEG, JFIF, GIF,
TIFF, TIF, PNG. These formats are found in Windows XP, but i guess the more you
update the more formats you get. I haven’t tried but i think it does works. For
those with Windows 7 it should work much better and should give you more and
more formats to choose from.
