How to type without a
keyboard. (On-Screen Keyboard)
Inputting text
without a keyboard is a very good and handy tool in Windows. Inputting text
without a keyboard could be very surprising but does works. If you have never
had any idea about typing without a keyboard then you will be using it by the end
of this article.
There is possibility
to use the On-Screen Keyboard even with a keyboard connected to the same
computer. If you use a laptop computer you should know that you cannot decide
when or not to connect the keyboard. Laptop keyboards are removable but cannot
always be removed for security reasons.
Using the On-Screen
Keyboard is very easy for both keyboard installed computers.
Now get ready and let
me know.
Face one
Click on start then
"All Programs"
Click Accessories,
then point to Accessibility.
Click the On-Screen
Keyboard from the dropdown or side menu.
At this level a keyboard
should pup on the screen, giving you the option to either type using your
mouse. With the On-Screen Keyboard you can use same functions are in a standard
keyboard. To type in caps, click the shift key and every key is turned to caps.
At the right side of
the On-Screen Keyboard, is a numeric key pad, where you can type numbers as
well as typing letters.
You can also enable
sounds when typing, by clicking the "Settings" tap, and then enable
"Click Sound". You should be able to here sounds click while you type
with your mouse.
If you find
difficulties using the Enhanced keyboard, don’t worry because you still have
the choice to choose either between Standard and Enhanced.
If you face any
difficulties using the On-Screen Keyboard then you have the help menu to see
you through. Either click help of press the F1 key for help.
